Day 7, dives 18 & 19

Well. Meme and Iz have gone home but Ben is still here.  It's nice that the big kids have been able to come visit for several days at a time.  They get to see what Will does everyday.  They also get to watch lots of television and other screen time while Will spend his days working so hard.  I hope they realize how lucky they are.  I usually don't let them veg out all day!

Dive 18- Will and Mason were together again this morning.  Mason picked Anastasia, for the movie.  Will watched it a little bit but not for long.  Then it was play time.  I had to put Buzz and Woody on top of his "space helmet"  and then he would tip his head ever so slightly and dump them off.  Great fun for him!

The gym...
Will has been a little off this week.  He was pretty tired yesterday but still did some good work.  Today he started the day off just kind of goofy but still blew some of his goal out of the water!  There is no doubt about it, Will is a hard working boy!
If you remember at the beginning of last week he was working on clapping 1-2-3, now he's trying to do 10 claps in a row!  This was a pretty good attempt!

Before the train station, Meme and the bigs (Ben and Iz) got to come sneak a peek at Will.  He didn't even know they were there!

Will walked on the treadmill for a record 10 minutes today, but it was not all pretty.  In fact Miss Tiffany had to pull out a couple of tricks to get Will to stop scissoring his legs.  She's a pretty amazing therapist, I do say!

Will has a new Olaf toy.  We found an Olaf and Sven over the weekend.  They were pretty cute, but Olaf only talked for a day and a half!  When I returned it 1 1/2 days later they were sold out!  Then I saw giant pull apart Olaf.  Oh boy!  Will LOVES it!  Giant pull apart Olaf joined us today.  He has already appeared in a video or maybe two above, now here he is again!

Now, look closely at Tiffany's hand and how much she's helping Will in this next video...NOT MUCH!!!

I really am amazed at how hard Will is working and how much progress that work is getting him!  Also, start paying attention to the language he's using.  That oxygen is kicking in and his vocabulary is taking off again!  He's using words that he hasn't used before, like "what is that strange noise"  Also today when Tiffany was tall kneeling with Will at the mirror, she asked him if they could do someone one more time.  Will, while still on tall knees, put his hand up to the side of his face and said, "let me think about it."  We also have to allot "shadow time" before bedtime every night.  Will has always liked to see his shadow, but now he loves interacting with his shadow, putting his hand closer to the flashlight and then farther away.  He also likes to do something and watch his shadow do it too.  He loves to play with his toys and see their shadow too.  It is so fun to see him playing and using his imagination.  Oh, tonight he sang the whole Summer song with Olaf and Olaf's shadow.  Pretty fun stuff!  Pay attention to what he's saying in the videos, I promise it will only get better!

The end of today's session was the best.  However the video is too long to upload to the blog.  You will have to head over to Facebook to check it out.  It's worth it!

Dive 19 Mason is spending the day at the water park so it's just Will and myself.  Once Will was under the space helmet he looked around and say, "Hey, where's everybody at?"  I think he missed his friend Mason.  Toward the end of the dive we looked at the little windows and saw that we had visitors.  Meme and the bigs are back!  They waved at Will in the chamber and waited for us to finish up!  Then it was off to the train station.  Thanks for visiting Mom and for delivering Ben to me and returning Iz back home.  You're the greatest!  I love you!

The Final Week! A fun filled weekend with family and dives 27 &28

Happy Monday!  It's week 3.  We're almost finished.  Will is ready to go home.  He is missing his Daddy, (and he just saw him yesterday!). Phil and the kids came in Friday night and stayed until yesterday afternoon.  We filled the weekend with as much as we could!  Two movies (me and big kids), 3 dives (Will and his daddy), indoor skydiving (Ben and Isabel), and church (together!)!  Together again!  My kiddos!  Will's waving to the camera! All the happy divers...Phil, Grandma Linda, Mason (front and center!) Josie and Will! I had a fun surprise for Ben and Isabel!  Indoor Skydiving!  They LOVED it!  Score one for MOM!  It was fun to watch.  Will said he's going to do it next time!  I might just try it too!   They take you out once to let you figure it out and then give you a second flight to go much higher! The first video shows Isabel's first flight, the instructor said sh...

Hello Friday!!! Dives 36 and 37

Dive 36- Josie and Will.  Started the day with another dose and oxygen and Mickey Mouse! Our last solo workout in Miss Tiffany's gym.  We skipped the yoga today and went right for the stairs.  Will grabbed his canes and some friends and got started.  As he was walking it occurred to me how often I took for granted when Ben and Isabel went walking across the floor with toys in their hands.  Just think about that for a minute...then watch this video! He carried Mario and Luigi to the stairs.  I carried them up the stairs and then he proceeded to throw them down.  Typical kiddo! After getting hurled down the stairs now poor Mario has to be thrown in a hoop!  Poor guy! He threw all of Mario's friends in the basket too.   Then he made his way across the room to leave Miss Tiffany one last message.  He made it about halfway when he fell, but you know Will, he got right up and finished the job! I think Will enjoy...

Week 3, Tuesday, Dives 29 & 30

Dive 29- Mr. Will and Josie.  Mickey Mouse, our morning ritual! After the dive Will headed over to Miss Tiffany's gym.  I guess we'll stick around, he likes working in there!  He basically set the whole day up, I only added one thing!  He started himself on the stairs.  I just stood back and filmed! Rock on , Mr. Will! This next thing I added.  The next time you get up from sitting (in a chair for example) think about what all goes into that. I think this will be something he could master when we come back this summer!  By the way, Miss Tiffany will be back for that one!   Back to Will's plan.  He didn't want me to video him getting into position but I thought it showed a lot of good work on Will's part.  Pulling yourself on a scooter is an amazing workout!   Now for the "real" video.  Will set up all the pins and now he is kicking them over, according to his plan! Miss Cheryl poppe...
