Friday- Week one comes to an end. Dives #10-13

Hello there~ when the weekend rolls around I usually give myself a break on the blogging.  I didn't get around to posting yesterday and I really want to share these videos so I am hopping on here today to share them with you!

Dives 10 and 11 went well.  They are much nicer now that Josie enjoys them!  Last summer was a different story!

After the morning dive Will and I went back to the Rezzi to get some PT in.  This kid amazes me!  The videos are a little long and not the best angle (solo job!) but they are worth watching.  We started out in Alfie in the room.  Will walked up the hilly hallway to get to the stairway.  He parked Alfie at the bottom of floor one and started climbing.  I grabbed his canes hoping to incorporate them in this adventure!  He flew up the 4 levels without any trouble.  (I really hope he remembers how easy this is once we get home!) After he made it to the 4th level, he cruised the wall over to the doorway.  I gave him his canes and told him that next we were going to walk over to the elevator and push the button.

He made it all the way to the elevator before losing his balance at the very end!  What a HUGE accomplishment!  After he fell, he put the canes right back up in the correct position and got back up!

I'm not sure if you realize how amazing that video was.  Go back to last summer on the blog, Will was not doing that!  At school his therapist reports that he loses concentration once they leave the PT room, that is why I am working with him in the Rezzi.  I really want Will to get comfortable on his canes whether he's in public or not so he can move on to independent walking some day.  Baby steps (or massive) my friends!
After we rode the elevator to the 2nd floor, Will walked (using his canes) back across the hallway to the stairs.  He cruised down the wall to get to the stairs and then proceeded to climb down to Alfie.

Bravo Mr. Will!  What an awesome day of therapy!  Who needs Miss Tiffany!  (Ha! Only kidding!)

Friday evening we met Miss Cheryl and her daughter Mason out for dinner.  Cheryl and I had a great time catching up.  I just love that lady!  Miss Mason and Mr. Will decided our conversation was pretty dull.  We gave them my phone and this is what they did with it!

After their workout they deserved some dessert!  Gelato is in order!

Mason gobbled hers up!  She picked Blueberry.  Mr. Will had a few bites of his vanilla and then he was done.  He liked it but is not much on cold stuff, a few bites is all he needs!

Cheryl and I had our own kind of dessert!

It was a great night!
This morning we woke up and went back to HHI for another dive (12).  Then headed back to the Rezzi for some down time.  Then is was back to HHI for dive (13).  No rest for these divers!

The Final Week! A fun filled weekend with family and dives 27 &28

Happy Monday!  It's week 3.  We're almost finished.  Will is ready to go home.  He is missing his Daddy, (and he just saw him yesterday!). Phil and the kids came in Friday night and stayed until yesterday afternoon.  We filled the weekend with as much as we could!  Two movies (me and big kids), 3 dives (Will and his daddy), indoor skydiving (Ben and Isabel), and church (together!)!  Together again!  My kiddos!  Will's waving to the camera! All the happy divers...Phil, Grandma Linda, Mason (front and center!) Josie and Will! I had a fun surprise for Ben and Isabel!  Indoor Skydiving!  They LOVED it!  Score one for MOM!  It was fun to watch.  Will said he's going to do it next time!  I might just try it too!   They take you out once to let you figure it out and then give you a second flight to go much higher! The first video shows Isabel's first flight, the instructor said sh...

Hello Friday!!! Dives 36 and 37

Dive 36- Josie and Will.  Started the day with another dose and oxygen and Mickey Mouse! Our last solo workout in Miss Tiffany's gym.  We skipped the yoga today and went right for the stairs.  Will grabbed his canes and some friends and got started.  As he was walking it occurred to me how often I took for granted when Ben and Isabel went walking across the floor with toys in their hands.  Just think about that for a minute...then watch this video! He carried Mario and Luigi to the stairs.  I carried them up the stairs and then he proceeded to throw them down.  Typical kiddo! After getting hurled down the stairs now poor Mario has to be thrown in a hoop!  Poor guy! He threw all of Mario's friends in the basket too.   Then he made his way across the room to leave Miss Tiffany one last message.  He made it about halfway when he fell, but you know Will, he got right up and finished the job! I think Will enjoy...

Soccer!

Miss Isabel decided she would play soccer this year.  She played when she was in Kindergarten but when 1st grade sign ups came around she said she didn't want to play.  When I asked her why, she said..."It's just too much running!".  Then when sign ups came in second grade, she thought she might like it again.  Well, we signed her up and then she decided that she didn't want to play after all.  Practices hadn't even started yet so we let her quit.  Many of her friends were playing though and I think once the season really got started, she regretted her decision.  So here we are, a year later and  Izzy (as she's starting to use these days) is playing soccer in the third grade!  There is still a lot of running, which she's still not crazy about, but hey...she's playing!
