Day 14 Dives 35 & 36

Dive 35

This morning it's the normal crew, (minus Mr. Chet).  Ms. Sherrie, Mr. Kenny, Mr. John, Will and myself.  Only 5 more dives to go.  I can't believe how quickly it has gone by.  Will chooses Despicable Me...again!  I'm so glad we have a good group who tolerates Will's movie choices!

Day 14

One more day to go.  That is really hard to believe!  Will has worked so hard and today is no different.  He starts out with his warm up exercises.

and don't forget popcorn!

Then onto the bike, Will is loving this new order!  There is a lot to remember when learning to ride a bike.  The biggest frustration for Will is getting stuck and not being able to get going again as quickly as he would like.  We came up with some steps for him to think about to help with his problem solving and to prevent some of his frustration.  Step 1 is try to backup.  Step 2 is use the wall to push off (if available) Step 3 is a Flower/Candle (probably should be step 1!) and then Step 4 is to ask for help.  Will had to use these steps quite a bit today.

Today Will rode the bike to the stairs instead of going in Zipper.  He parked the bike, climbed off then proceeded to climb the stairs.  This next video is at the very bottom of the stairs.  The gym (as in workout facility for big people!) that is upstairs has boot camp programs.  They use the tire for exercises in the parking lot.   Will is going to check it out today.

Now back up the stairs!  This is where I can really tell a difference in Will.  He used to be terrified to climb the stairs.  Even yesterday he whimpered a little while doing this very task.  Today, he climbed them like a champ!

He's really been working on squatting to get down.  Miss Tiffany introduced the frog last week.  Will really likes it and today he nailed it!

Back in the gym... Will has been pushing himself beyond what Tiffany is asking him to do.  Watch this video.  It's not the best angle because he came over to talk to me and then just decided to stay on his tall knees, a task that is very challenging for him.

Isn't that cool!  He is really working hard!

MeMe got involved in the gym today too!

I would love to post all the videos from today but I guess I'll leave it at that.  Now to grab a little lunch before the next dive!

Dive 36

We're going on the early dive today with the adults!  A few of them couldn't make it so we will take their place.  Today it will be Ms. Sherrie, Mr. Kenny, Mr. John, Mason, Will and myself.  Before we get in the spaceship there is a race to win!  Mr. Kenny has challenged Will to a race.  On you mark, get set, GO!

Mr.. Kenny is going to have to do better than that!  Once aboard we settle in, once more watching Despicable Me.  Everyone sits back and relaxes.

The Final Week! A fun filled weekend with family and dives 27 &28

Happy Monday!  It's week 3.  We're almost finished.  Will is ready to go home.  He is missing his Daddy, (and he just saw him yesterday!). Phil and the kids came in Friday night and stayed until yesterday afternoon.  We filled the weekend with as much as we could!  Two movies (me and big kids), 3 dives (Will and his daddy), indoor skydiving (Ben and Isabel), and church (together!)!  Together again!  My kiddos!  Will's waving to the camera! All the happy divers...Phil, Grandma Linda, Mason (front and center!) Josie and Will! I had a fun surprise for Ben and Isabel!  Indoor Skydiving!  They LOVED it!  Score one for MOM!  It was fun to watch.  Will said he's going to do it next time!  I might just try it too!   They take you out once to let you figure it out and then give you a second flight to go much higher! The first video shows Isabel's first flight, the instructor said sh...

Hello Friday!!! Dives 36 and 37

Dive 36- Josie and Will.  Started the day with another dose and oxygen and Mickey Mouse! Our last solo workout in Miss Tiffany's gym.  We skipped the yoga today and went right for the stairs.  Will grabbed his canes and some friends and got started.  As he was walking it occurred to me how often I took for granted when Ben and Isabel went walking across the floor with toys in their hands.  Just think about that for a minute...then watch this video! He carried Mario and Luigi to the stairs.  I carried them up the stairs and then he proceeded to throw them down.  Typical kiddo! After getting hurled down the stairs now poor Mario has to be thrown in a hoop!  Poor guy! He threw all of Mario's friends in the basket too.   Then he made his way across the room to leave Miss Tiffany one last message.  He made it about halfway when he fell, but you know Will, he got right up and finished the job! I think Will enjoy...

Soccer!

Miss Isabel decided she would play soccer this year.  She played when she was in Kindergarten but when 1st grade sign ups came around she said she didn't want to play.  When I asked her why, she said..."It's just too much running!".  Then when sign ups came in second grade, she thought she might like it again.  Well, we signed her up and then she decided that she didn't want to play after all.  Practices hadn't even started yet so we let her quit.  Many of her friends were playing though and I think once the season really got started, she regretted her decision.  So here we are, a year later and  Izzy (as she's starting to use these days) is playing soccer in the third grade!  There is still a lot of running, which she's still not crazy about, but hey...she's playing!
