Dives 38 & 39-- The Final day at the gym!

MeMe got to our apartment around 4:00 yesterday afternoon.  It didn't take Will long to engage her in a game! Today is Izzy's birthday! (Josie's big sister)  Will and I gave her a present this morning before the dive.  She was so thankful and gracious.  She is such a sweet girl.  Look at that face! Happy Birthday Izzy! Dive #38 Mickey Mouse was playing before the door shut again today and Miss Josie was a happy girl!  I think Mr. Will might actually miss her squeals.   Day 15 Here we are, the final day at the gym.  It seems like we just got here.  Will has made some tremendous progress!  He had a pretty full day but I'm only going to post 3 videos.  He warmed up, knee walked, scooted, played with trains, stood a lot and walked with his canes a lot.  I would like to focus on the standing and walking, because that part is my favorite! As you probably figured out by now Mr. Will is going to be a movie di...

Dives 35 & 36--Day 14 at the gym

Dive #35 This morning once again, we waited to put Josie's collar on her.  It didn't matter, just as I thought, she started crying when the chamber door closed!  Little stinker!  ;)  Of course her friend Will started crying too.  Oh goodness!  Luckily Josie stopped pretty quickly.  Will, on the other hand took some flower candle breathing to get over it.  Once the oxygen went on he finally settled down. Day 14 Miss Tiffany wasn't feeling the best today so we took it a little easy.  A little more hands off, as in off of Will!  She did her best not to touch him too much and then went home after his session to rest.  I hope she feels better tomorrow! Bike riding is pretty hands off!   When we went back inside, I helped Will off the bike and then we were just talking.  Suddenly he was standing, doing his TaDa's.  Tiffany turned on the camera and here goes! Will was loving standing up with me.  We di...

Dives 33 & 34-Day 12 Wacky Wednesday!

Dive #33 It's just Will and Josie this morning.  Miss Josie is figuring this out (her little brain is working!!).  Today she started crying the minute we put her collar on.  That's the part the hood attaches to.  We put them on before we even close the door!  She knows what's coming.  That truly is progress!!  :)  Will is very empathic.  He cries along with her.  Oh boy, this could be a long dive!  Luckily once the hoods go on, they both calm down.  Phew! Day 12- Wacky Wednesday That means different things, namely that Miss Tiffany changes the order of some exercises.  This morning Tiffany left her phone at her house.  While Will got started, I volunteered to go get it for her.  Will was very concerned about the angle of the video camera.  I swear one day he's going to be a movie director! Next is picking up bowling pins with his barefeet on the scooter.  He's really getting the hang of this. ...

Dives #31 & #32--Day 11 at the gym

Dive #31 This morning went well.  Will and Josie watched Mickey Mouse, happily and Mr. Austin slept.  I got some reading in and life is good! Day 11 Today had some lows but also some very nice highs!  Will started off strong with some nice bridges. He got the rest of his warm ups in and moved on to knee walking.  He's still improving on this. Next was the scooter, barefoot.  Remember when he started this last week.  Miss Tiffany had to give him a little help from behind and he barely made it anywhere.  Check him out now! Now this is the part of the day that fell apart.  Mr, Will had a little melt down.  I'm not sure what happened exactly, but I can tell that he definitely recovered!  He did a couple flower/candles and then some fantastic work! Pretty great huh!  Oh wait...there's more!  Miss Tiffany got out some new tools.  Plunger Poles!  They look a little silly, but check out what Will does...

The last week!!! Dive #29, #30 and Day 10 at the gym

We had a great weekend visit from the rest of our family.  Phil brought the kids and the dog up on Friday evening and they left Sunday afternoon.  We had a few meals out and some time at the pool.  I got a break from the spaceship while Phil took the boys.  That's right, I said boys.  Ben, our oldest son joined Will in the spaceship this weekend.  He hurt his ankle in an 4 wheeler accident last week.  A trip to the ER said it was a sprain.  HBOT can heal sprains and fractures 63% faster.  Since they were already planning a trip to KC, we thought we would see what the oxygen could do for him. Happy Boy!   Dinner at Stone Canyon Pizza My other babies! Girl time at the movie.  We saw B.F.G. Will, Ben and Austin in the spaceship! All done! Waiting for Ice Cream! Our friends The Motley's were in town for a softball tournament, so we met for lunch! Our happy Family!! Dive #29 This dive w...

Dive 24 &25--Day 10 at the gym

Dive #24 Will slept in this morning.  We got in a little late last night.  I dressed him in his clothes last night for bed so this morning I could just pick him up and bring him to the spaceship.  Miss Josie got upset this morning.  She cried quite a bit and pretty soon...Mr. Will was crying too!  Poor guy.  Finally after a few flower candles I got Will settled down and the rest of the ride was quiet. Day 10 Today was definitely Friday Fun day!  Miss Tiffany was out with us last night too so we were all ready for a laid back day!  Will did his warm ups.  Here is the popcorn one. Today Will put his socks on all by himself without anyone around.  He was quite proud of himself! Will played with the trains and did some knee walking.  Then Miss Tiffany had another fun idea.  Ride the bike!  Will takes off toward the bike. The last time we were, here Will learned to ride the trike.  He loved it!  T...

Dive 23 & 24--Day 9

Dive #23 After my conversation with Will (last night), he was excited to help Josie by choosing the Mickey Mouse movie for the dive.  He choose a new Minnie Mouse one that we haven't seen yet and Josie was happy the whole time.  Mr. Austin and Miss Julie were there too. Day 9 Will started off with the scooter again.  He's getting pretty good at pulling himself around with his bare feet.  Next we did our warm-up exercises.  He like dead bugs.  He usually starts with that one. We head upstairs, Wills choice, to work on the "big stairs" and climb into the tractor tire.  On the way back down the hallway instead of cruising he marched with high knees.  His little legs are pretty tired at this point! Today Miss Tiffany thought she would have Will cruise in the entry area of the gym.  He doesn't care for cruising in the gym but likes to do it in the hallway upstairs.  Let's see how this new area goes. He did pretty well unt...
