Dive 35 &36 Final day at the gym!

Dive 35- Will and I were ready to go this morning.  We actually got to the chamber early, this is very unusual!  We had a visitor waiting to talk to us when we got there.  It was the grandpa of one of Will's little "gym" friends.  Miss Josie is scheduled to start HBOT next week and Grandpa Pete wanted to ask me what I thought about it.  Of course I told him all the very positive things!  This unfortunately made us late for the dive, but this time it wasn't my fault!  :) Will watched Doc McStuffins this morning. Day 15- The final day at the gym. The final day is a hard balance.  Miss Tiffany needs to get some last "measurements" to see if Will met the goals she set for him. So there is work to do, but she also wants him to have fun.  She started the day by telling him that the yellow suit was going in the washer.  He would not be wearing it today.  He said "Yay!  It makes me tired."  I'm sure it does! Will brought Woo...

Dive 33 & 34 Day 14...

Dive 33- Will and myself again.  I'm almost finished with my 3rd book! Yay!  Will is happily watching TV.  All is well. Day 14...one more to go! Will is still a little tired today but does much better than yesterday.  He language is still exploding!  It's fun to listen to him and to watch how much progress he has made.   This morning Will has an idea to get the day started.  Tiffany loves it! A fun way for Will to practice balancing. (and to remind him to keep his shaky head "habit" under control) Today the treadmill time was moving a little slow for Will.  He was ready to get off soon after he started.  I think this calls for a little motivational music! This video is an example of how much progress Will and made AND how his language is going too.  It's the little things, and how quick he comes up with something!) Now for snack time and the amazing thing Will did!  I was out of the room at the time, but I lov...

It's hump-day! Dive 31 & 32- Day 13

Dive 31- Another morning of just Will and me!  I do enjoy the quiet morning dives.  Will sits back and watches TV and I set back and read my book and journal.  Pretty good way to start the day! Day 13- It's Wednesday of the third week and once again, Will is tired!  He asked if we are going home after the gym today...not yet buddy. He and Tiffany start out with a little knee walking.  He has a hard time keeping his balance. Then they move on to floor exercises.  He does better with this. He went on to walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes.  Then on to the wall.  He's doing so much better with this.  He walks down to the end, where he puts the puzzle together.  He adds some fancy foot work today and lots of personality! Did you catch that we had a visitor today?  My fabulous sister in law dropped by to watch Will and brought me lunch!  Thanks Jess! Will was dragging today.  His little legs just didn't want ...

Dive 29 & 30- Day 12...Amazing!

Dive 29 and 30 both worked out well.  Just Will and myself in the morning and then Mason joined us in the afternoon.  Easy Peazy! The gym was great today.  Will did everything a little better than yesterday, progress all around!  I am only posting one video today though because I want you to focus on how unbelievable it is!  Will is such a hard worker.  He's always pushing himself to do better, even if he's so tired he can't hardly move his little legs.  This video was taken at the very end of the day.  A little past the stopping point in fact!  He worked hard for about 3 hrs and 15 mins and ended with this! That's all folks!  Will amazes me every day...especially when we are here and I see how hard he works. The biggest enjoyment I got today was seeing the look of his face.  He was so proud of himself.  At lunch we even had to call Daddy real quick to tell him the news!  Incredible!

Dive 27 & 28 Day 11

It's Monday...of the third week...Will is asking when we are going home!  A good sign that his little brain is making progress.  He's much more aware of being away from home this time. Dive 27- It's just Will and myself again.  I get some good reading time in and he watches Disney Jr.  I'm so thankful that he is a good diver!  He always lets me read, something I don't do much of at home! Day 11-  Like I said, it's Monday...of the third week.  Will is tired!  He starts out a little rough... The morning gets better from there.  Will goes to the treadmill, where he walks (attached to the bungees) for 5 minutes then walks with Alfie (on the treadmill) for another 5...I think.  Then when Tiffany is unhooking him from the bungees, he decides he will try this... Something else they are working on...transferring from one thing to another.  Will is making progress on this when he remembers to move his feet! TIffany dec...

Eventful weekend...or not.

Well, the weekend is over.  I'm sad to say it wasn't what we all hoped it would be.  Let me explain... It started off nice.  Phil and the kids got into Kansas City in time for dinner at Minsky's!  Delicious!  We went back to Rezzi, watched a little TV and then went to bed. Saturday morning Phil took Will to a dive. While they were gone, I took Ben and Isabel to the hotel pool. Then is was off to see Inside Out!  Yay!  I love family movies! This was just before the movie started.  Looking at it now, it seems Isabel looks a little pale.  When the previews started she had her hand propped against her hand.  I asked her if she was ok, she said she was tired. A little while later Iz told me she was feeling dizzy.  I got her out of the theater and into the restroom just in time!  Poor baby!  I took her back to Rezzi and then went back for the boys after she was settled.  They all enjoyed the movie, Iz and I wil...

Dive 22 & 23 Day 10

My family is on their way here, so this is going to be a short blog!  I am also taking the weekend off to spend it with them so I will be back on here Monday. Dive 22 was just Will and myself again.  I got my reading in and he watched TV.  Piece of cake! Day 10- the end of 2nd week! Will was tired today, but he worked hard!  I normally don't video him taking off his seatbelt but I told him I would today if he could undo it.  Maybe I should use that more often! Next was the treadmill.  I really like this idea.  Today Will wanted to rest very early on.   Tiffany was trying to encourage him to keep going.  Then Will decided maybe he could rest when he counted to 100. There was lots more that happened today, including another "resting snack" at the window, but I'll skip to the end.  Will is doing great with this task, making a little progress every day! I can't wait to see what week 3 has in store!  Go Will Go! ...
