Dive 35- Today Will took something new into the chamber with him. A few days ago he received a special package from his very good friend Evalena. Evalena knows Will very well and knew just what to send him! A Toy Story Look and Find book. He loves it! This morning in the hotel room he was looking at it and wouldn't leave it so I suggested he take it to the spaceship. He looked for the hidden pictures the whole time I usually rub his ears and then a few minutes after the space helmet was on too!
Normal ear rubbing time. No ear rubbing, just finding Woody and friends!
Space Helmet on...still looking for pictures! This is usually Doc McStuffins time... don't worry, she came later!
Thank you Miss Evalena for an awesome gift. Will said it was "really cool"! (I love his new vocabulary!)
Day 15 at the gym. The final day of Will's three week Intensive suit session. Miss Tiffany was working with Jordan again when Will got there. Will loves to watch Jordan. This morrning Jordan was taking some steps (all by his own self!). Will looked at me and said "I want to do that." My reply..."someday you will!". Will and I clapped for Jordan when he made it to his destination. I can't wait until I can watch Will do the same thing!
Miss Tiffany was prepared to take it easy on Will today, but Will had another plan! He told me he wanted to stand at the white board (remember that from the last session in March?). He must have had fond memories of it. I think he changed his mind...
Tiffany helped him through it and pretty soon he was doing this...
Now for my favorite video of the day...

Isn't that beautiful! The Mowgli walk, not the signing!
Then on to other activites...
(Sorry about the lighting, it's always tricky from that side of the room.)
Then that activity turned into this one...do you see another session in Will's future???
Once again, an awesome experience in Miss Tiffany's gym. She is a very talented therapist. She is smart and creative, she has so many idea of how to get Will's little muscles stronger and stronger. Thank you Tiffany for all that you have done for Mr. Will over these last 4 sessions! He has come a long way! He still has a long way to go before we're finished with you so I hope you like us as much as we like you! See you this spring!

Will is solo again. I think we must have offended Miss Mason! She has deserted us! Will watched the tv this time and it wasn't Doc! Octonauts and then Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. A welcome change! We're going to stick around one more day to get a couple more dives in. Will has gained so much again from this extra oxygen. His vocabulary has grown, his imagination has soared and his sense of humor and charm has also developed. I feel like his shaky, ataxic movements are a little better too. I am so glad we did another HBOT session. I hope to continue these sessions as long as the need is there. I hope the word gets out about how beneficial this form of therapy can be. I know a lot of people who could benefit from HBOT. I hope one day soon it is more readily available.
Thank you to everyone who has followed Will through these last three weeks. He is such a hard working little boy. Phil and I are so thankful for your help in making these therapy trips possible! We wouldn't continue asking for the help if we didn't think it was worth it. Hopefully these videos and stories are proof to you that it is worth every penny!
We'll be heading out of KC tomorrow. We have another trip tentatively scheduled for March. I'll try to keep you up to date between now and then, but once I get home it's always a little hard for me to find the time to blog.
Thank you and God Bless!
